For Franco Louisiane, a company co-owned by Stephen Ortego that provides translation services from English to French, certifies participating businesses as being francophone (French-speaking), and generally promotes anything having to do with francophone language and culture in Louisiana, I devised a logo which employs the accent aigu on the French character "é" as the tail of a speech bubble. (Left) The logo, which reads "Myself, I speak it" — "it" being the French language. (Above) Various uses of the logo from Franco Louisiane's website — on restaurant doors, to advertise written service in the French language; as cards on tables, for spoken service in French; and as buttons and pins to be worn.
